Dalkeith Digest: Election update

SNP hold Midlothian North

Colin Beattie will once again represent Midlothian North in the Scottish Parliament after the SNP held the seat on what looks like being a good day for the party. Mr Beattie received 11,250 votes and 38.9% vote share, 10.3% down on 2021 notional results.

Results in full:

• Colin Beattie (SNP) - 11,250 votes (38.9%)

• Caitlin Stott (Labour) - 8,754 votes (30.3%)

• Pal Chidambaram (Reform) - 4,506 votes (15.6%)

• Jenny Butler (Lib Dem) - 2,387 votes (8.3%)

• Phil Doggart (Conservative) - 2,032 votes (7%)

Turnout: 51.2%
